Diplomats, athletes and young people take part in a mini-marathon organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates
A large number of diplomats, athletes, members of civil society and young people participated in the mini-marathon organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to celebrate the Golden Jubilee ( 50 years) of bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.
The year 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The event turned out to be a wholesome and family activity. The mini-marathon varying between 2 kilometers and 5 kilometers took place inside the diplomatic enclave.
Apart from the diplomatic community, Arab nationals including students and businessmen had traveled not only from Islamabad but also from other cities to attend the event.
Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al Zaabi welcomed the guests on this occasion and said that the mini-marathon and the remarkable participation from all walks of life reflected the long-standing brotherhood, partnerships and shared values between the two brother countries.
Ambassador Zaabi also hailed the deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries, derived from the depth of Islamic brotherhood and geographical, cultural and historical ties that have evolved into a strategic partnership between the two countries and peoples over the past few years. years.
He expressed his gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for facilitating the marathon as well as partners including Gerry’s, Sheikh Zayed International Academy, Bank Al Falah, DP World for sponsoring this event.
The UAE Embassy is organizing a number of social and cultural activities this year to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of PAK-UAE relations.
